Spelling Registry entry

Specify which fields to spellcheck when the EMu Spell checker is run.

This Registry setting enables customization of the EMu Spell Checker to the table and column level. By default, if no Spelling entry exists in the Registry, the Spell Checker will check every field. This entry allows administrators to define precisely which fields to check for spelling when the Spell Checker is run.

Tip: This Registry entry can be particularly useful for instructing the Spell Checker to ignore fields that are typically filled with values not found in a dictionary (e.g. locations).

This Registry entry can be assigned to users and groups:

where:

column

is a back-end column name; or use Default for all columns in the specified table(s).

boolean

is true (the field / fields will be checked) or false (the field / fields will not be checked).

Note: Each entry relates to a single field column unless Default is used.

Examples

The first example prevents the Spell Checker from checking the contents of field AddPhysStreet in the Parties module:

This example ensures that for all users in group Counter, the Spell Checker will check the contents of field MulDescription in the Multimedia module:
